Custom websites for Indiana’s local shops, diners and barbers, built in Bloomington. $500 to launch, $50 a month, and you see yours working before you pay.
Start a projectA site designed around your shop, not a template with your logo dropped in. Up to five pages, made for phones first, with your menu, hours, map and a contact or booking form.
Hosting, security and monitoring are on us. Send new hours, prices or specials and they’re live that week.
Order and booking buttons on your site, plus setup on DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub, with your menu kept current.
Your Google profile, Maps pin, photos and hours set up right, so people nearby find you when they search.
Every shop has a front door.
We build the one people open on their phones: your hours, your menu, your number and a way to order or book, a tap from the street.

Your first two weeks.
We build first and bill last. Here’s how a typical launch runs, from hello to live.

Day one
Days two to six
Week two
Then $50 a month keeps it running.
Paid only after you approve the working site: a custom design, up to five pages, your domain connected and launched. Then $50 a month covers hosting, security and updates. Cancel anytime.
Checkout is hosted by Stripe; card details never touch this site. Online ordering, delivery apps and extra pages are quoted separately.

The builder behind the studio.
I’m JD Harmelin, a finance student at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, Class of 2028, and I build with AI every day.
My GitHub is full of working projects, from trading and research tools to automated pipelines and full-stack web apps. That toolkit is how we design, build and launch a custom site quickly, without agency overhead. I started Front Door Studio so local shops get the same advantage: a fast, professional site, supported by a small team that answers, and priced so a small business can say yes.

Join the waitlistQuestions owners ask.
Do I really see the site before I pay? Yes. We build a working version of your site first and send you a link. You only pay the $500 launch fee once you approve it and we’re ready to go live.
Who owns the website and domain? Your domain is registered in your business’s name, and your photos, menu and text are always yours. If you ever cancel the care plan, we hand over your site files so you can host it anywhere.
What does the $50 a month cover? Hosting, the security certificate, uptime and security monitoring, and updates like hours, menu items, prices and specials. Bigger changes, like new pages or online ordering, get a quote first.
How long does it take? Most sites go live within one to two weeks of our first conversation. It mostly depends on how quickly we can gather your menu, photos and details.
Can customers order food online? Yes. We can add ordering to your site and set you up on DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub. It’s quoted as an add-on so you only pay for what you use.
Can I cancel the care plan? Yes, anytime. It runs month to month, and if you cancel we hand over your site files so you can host them anywhere.
What if I already have a website? We can rebuild it. Choose Redesign in the form below and send us the link; you’ll still see the new version working before you pay.
When do the walkthrough films start? Soon. Join the waitlist with the form below and we’ll reach out first when booking opens.
